..What is class G? From Creek's description it sounds a bit like Quad's "Current Dumping" but can someone enlighten me?

with pro amps.
Look up Class G on the Arcam A49 integrated which unlike Class D sounds very good. Interesting that the Creek has better grounding with a 3 pin mains input.
..Quite a clear explanation by Arcam. BTW, an interesting price point for the A49 for Arcam. The most expensive integrated I recall from them at 3250 g.b.p. Also USA build apparently - unexpected.
Arcam's paper discusses the disadvantages of class AB cross-over distortion then jumps to the efficiency advantages of class G, without addressing how class G handles cross-over distortion.
All I got from the Arcam paper is that class G is more efficient than class AB.
Am I missing something?
