Thanks for the response. Are you familiar with it? Having a bit of hum out of one channel, not tube-related, wondering if there are bias and/or balance adjustments. Haven't had a look inside yet but probably will.

Follow Ups:
A couple of things can cause hum in these amps.
Look for bad or burnt board traces on the output tubes. The tube may look like it's running, but it might not be. If one of the EL34s or KT88's is not running the amp will hum.
Check the filter caps.
Check wire dressing.

Much Thanks!
damn shame the owners let this company go. I know many audiophiles enjoyed their cd/sacd players.
Thanks! for sharing Dan & Dave.
This is one company that could use a re-branding.
What went wrong???
A number of things went wrong.
- Products rushed to market before proving
- Poor communication not only with consumers, but with their dealers and distributors
- The parent company (an aerospace company)eventually pulled the plug on financing.
Their amps were stellar performers and quite reliable for the most part. But CD players had all kinds of issues, not all of them Audio Aeros fault.

AA is gone, out of business.Jerome was such a good guy and they had very reasonable funding and (no pun) capitalization but customer service and product failure seems to have hindered market acceptance.

When did they go under?
Bummer, - some of the best sounding CD & SACD players I've heard.

Where people had paid to see inside,
For entertainment they watch his body twist
Behind his eyes he says, 'I still exist.'"
