Hello. Has anyone compared Micromega IA-60 and Arcam FMJ A19? I want to buy an amp to drive my Harbeth P3ES-2 or Compact 7ES-2. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi, lofey,
Sorry, I haven't compared the Micromega to the Arcam but I have lived with the FMJ A19 for about eight months now. It is an outstanding integrated amplifier. It is smooth and powerful with superb detail and resolution. It sounds very even with a complete, coherent room filling sound.
The build quality is beyond what I expected for the price and the volume control is one of the best I have ever used. I hope you get a chance to audition one.
Cheer,
Scott
Thanks Scott. I have auditioned the Micromega IA60 with a compact monitar on stand. The sound is full and fluid, clear yet relaxed and the sound-stage is wide. I have not listened to the Arcam yet. I'm interested to compare these two amps because they use the same LM3886T chip as amplification module.
lofey,
The Micromega IA60 looks like an outstanding integrated too. I really like the separate transformers for the pre-amp and amp stages. I also like what they have done with the volume control in that they use a micro-processor like Arcam has.
I'd love to compare the Arcam and the Micromega but I doubt I'll have a chance to. If you get to please update this thread with your impressions. Thanks.
Scott
