Does anyone have experience with this unit?

It seems Classe has priced itself out of the market. I bet you their gear is still very good, but at what price? I don't recall seeing their gear at any show. They must have a good dealer network. Anyone been to a Classe dealer lately?
Funny, I think a unit with the features and pedigree of the CP-800 is a bargain at $5,000, if Classe hasn't compromised their sonic standards. Now, maybe they have, which is why I'm asking.
And yes, I have a Classe dealer about five miles away.

Jec-
Grammophone is a great dealer/retailer. Very clean and organized operation.
I visited this shp 2 years ago while in Baltimore.
I've been buying from them since 1986, and as recently as this past March. We're very lucky to have several excellent b&m dealers in Baltimore.

I was considering a used Classe CP-800 at one time as it appears to be a versatile piece from a company with a historically good reputation for sonics and value. The only reason I didn't give it a try was I found a good buy on a Pass Labs XP-10.
Classe may still may be a good outfit, but my last Classe piece that I bought was probably a decade ago and it was used when I bought it. I had the CA-100, CA-200, and then the CA-300 which was my last Classe piece. I also had a CP-40 and CP-35 a long time ago.
BUT.... I'd take that older Classe gear over brand new BRYSTON! And that's based on recent Bryston experience. ;-)
