Best get out there and audition some 'decent' drivers then.
Is all I can say.

I was speaking in general terms. If you want low bass with a high efficiency speaker they have to be as big as a house.
..he didn't mention that he wanted to plum the depths. Plenty of moderate sized horn speakers will give you all the bass slam you need, and some go well into the 30s.

Not really. A 6th order assisted alignment can be quite compact for what it is. I have a Selenium WPU1505 15" in a 3.75 cu. ft. box with an f3 of 28 Hz.
A 2 cu ft 2nd order sealed box with an F3 of 30hz can only be 0.18% efficient (84.55dB).
A 2 cu ft 4th order vented box with an F3 of 30hz can only be 0.36% efficient (87.56dB).
A 2 cu ft 6th order vented box with an F3 of 30hz can only be 0.90% efficient (91.54dB).I have been doing 6th order assisted boxes since EV led the way in 1974 with their Interface A and Sentry III.

Two of these in a 6th order PPSL would be fun.
