From personal experience I can tell you that the Aesthetix Calypso is excellent and more 'tubey' sounding than the ARC LS25mkII that I had previously. And you'll have plenty of great tubes available to you for tube rolling, both NOS and new tubes.
I also liked the fact that the Calypso is very versatile with all it's ins/outs, and full remote control similar to the versatility offered in the ARC linestages.
Follow Ups:
I have Quicksilver 88 monos. I'm not sure that Quicksilvers would be an advance over the RM 10. I love my QS 88s and they really sing with my Grand Veenas but I suspect the difference between them and the RM 10 are vanishingly small. Consider looking for a C-J CT 5 are newer model (used). They will certainly get you what you want.
I've owned an RM-10 ( 2 in fact) and would have to say any of the mentioned Quickies would give the OP a very noticeable increase in headroom/sense of ease. I think the new Silver 88's running KT 150's would be a revelation by comparison. When driving speakers of less than 90DB in efficiency, the RM-10 loses its steam and composure in comparison to a well designed EL34/6L6/KT88 amp..... IF you're attempting to recreate "live" listening levels.
My speakers are 88dB, but the room is small and I never push RM-10 too hard. I am looking for overall sound improvement without loosing that emotional connection.
Then I recommend you audition the Line Magnetic 218IA......IF you want to move to an 845 based SET integrated with plenty of emotion. Don't be fooled by its 22 watt rating. It sounds as powerful as any 60 watt P-P tube amp I've ever owned. It will sound shockingly more powerful than the RM-10 and still retain ( or surpass) the strong musical connection you're looking for.
