Hello folks
I am looking around for a schematic for a phono preamp to build from scratch, and was wondering if you folks might have some recommendations?
Thanks!

Try Diyaudio.com or one of the several others where people build/develop circuits rather than talk about it :-)
And while you my be obsessed with tubes you need to think of the realities of phono gain. You would be better served with SS gain stages. This schematic Does give you a little satisfaction.
Thanks for the info. I saw that when I was doing my initial research. May have to bread board it to hear how it sounds compared to the 6dj8.
My preamp is line level, so I just need a phono pre. i am happy with everything else.
Forgot to mention a couple of things that do effect my choice.... I want a tube phono preamp rather than solid state ('cept maybe for using dc on the filaments) and I need quite a bit of gain it appears.
I found the one at the attached link and breadboarded one channel of it this morning. After tweaking it here and there with different caps and a little tube rolling I kind of like the sound of it and it has enough gain to do the job. Have any of you ever used one of these?

Tell us your cartridge (output) and how much gain you want/need. MM or MC? I assume you use an active preamp. This affects what kind of output voltage and impedance from the phono section that is a good match.
ET
has one listed somewhere.

Look at the one on the datasheet for the LME49710. Match the caps, build, and be happy.-reub
