Alan, an overdue thanks for your further impressions of your new Silver 88 amps. I was away for a couple of weeks and that post is now on page 2 so it was only by accident I found it.
The impedance range of my Janszens is roughly from 4 to 10 ohms. Also the 87 dB rating seems to be conservative. According to David Janszen the settings I have with the controls brings it closer to 90 dB. So from all that, your comments, and the Quicksilver reputation in general, I believe it will be worth the effort to audition the Silver 88s.
As for the KT-150 tube option, I agree 10 watts may not mean much at that power range, but it couldn't hurt! And yes, I don't believe the KT-150 was an option when I contacted Mike.
It will be a few months but I will post impressions if I do have the chance to try them.

Hi M3 Lover,
I hope you have a chance to listen to the Silver 88's. I think they sound fabulous into the right speaker. I guess all good amps would sound fabulous into the right speaker, so I shouldn't hype them. But I will anyway, because they sound extra fabulous into the Soundline's.
I don't know if your equipment page is kept up to date, but if you are still listening to the well respected solid state amps listed in your system, I think the Silver 88 will offer an enjoyably different perspective worthy of an audition. Be sure to try all of your passive / active preamps into them.
I would love to hear the Janzen's. It's too bad we are about as far apart as can be while still within the continental U.S.

Hi Alan,
Thanks for the reminder, I was way overdue in updating my system profile.
One component not listed is my Cayin A-300P integrated amp. That is left over from an experiment with HE speakers a few years ago. It is class A with a pair of 300Bs in push/pull operation producing 20 wpc. Of course I tried that with my Janszens and while it sounded very nice with uncomplex music at modest levels it simply fell short for adequate power.
My friend jsm71 also has zA2.1s and has driven them with 25 and 40 wpc Decware amps. Apparently his room is much smaller than mine and he may listen at more modest levels. Still, he reports great listening pleasure with both of those options.
Also I'm old enough that my first stereo system included a Dyna ST-70 while that was still in production. So tubes are rather ingrained in my listening sensitivities.
For all those reasons I have high hopes for the Silver 88s.
And yes, if not for the distance it could be fun to audition one another's systems. I expect our musical tastes would overlap a fair bit.
