The pads are ok for very small wires, the problem I had was attempting to replace the chip caps with through hole radial type caps as they will interfere with the pot on this newest version. When possible I can post a picture of the inside. I cannot believe the sound this amp produces through my Klipsch RB35s,or even my cheapo Pioneers.
I have the Sonic Impact Super T amp which comes in the metal chassis with big volume knob in the center of the face plate.
I'm not sure but I suspect my unit may use a slightly different circuit board / layout.
Sorry for the lack of clarity in my original post. The schematic I have shows c3 and c4 input coupling caps as .33uf, and the series resistors r1 and r2 as 20k. The caps in mine measured 1.2uF and the resistors 20k. The bigger enclosure you have probably allows for all kinds of mods. I found this website to be a big help.
