just curious if anyone has heard both of these and how they would compare to each other ? Also wondering if anyone knows about how much Magnepan charges for shipping on those? I am just thinking out loud here.
Shipping from Magnepan to IL was $25 for the MMGs. You will need to call them to see how much it would be for your location.

I have both a pair of modded MGIIs and a pair of MMGs .I prefer my MGIIs to the MMGs for one basic reason , the sound stage and sweet spot with the MGIIs is bigger , in my opinion .
Others might have differing opinions, and that is expected here in Maggie World , but I find with the MMGs , the sound changes quite a bit if You're not in the sweet spot , and in my experience, that means sitting down .
With the MGIIs the sound stage and sweet spot are much larger ( again , this is my opinion ) . . . It does not matter if I'm sitting or if I'm standing , the sound quality and imaging remain constant ( my opinion ).
I suggest that You try the MMG's out, I've heard that Magnepan has a return policy on new MMGs , like a 30 - 60 day trial period .
ps MMG's have the quasi-ribbon tweeter, The MMG is rated at 50Hz-24kHz ±3dB , where the MGIIc is rated at 40Hz-18kHz ±4dB
that is great, exactly the info I was looking for. I do like the large sweet spot on the MGII. I had read many articles and posts about the maggies having such a small sweet spot so I was actually quite surprised with them as I found it to be much larger then anticipated.

You sure you mean the MGIIc? That speaker has not been made for over 20 years. MMG is of course a current model....
yes, I currently own the MGIIc - curious how the MMG would compare to it.
Ah, OK the comment about shipping threw me...so you mean shipping for the MMGs.
I don't have the answer. I currently have MGIIb but have never heard any of the smaller Magnepans.
