Hi Kevin:There are some people who have alot of diy parts around from the old projects. What about doing different IT couple PP schematics with 845's 300b's and KT-88 with and without fixed bias. You could sell the schematics for say 39.99. If the person buys 100.00 worth of parts 10.00 off the schematic up to 400.00 then it is free. You could also offer a parts package if they all ready have the iron or a iron package if they have the parts. Then you have the complete kit for person who has nothing yet. Just thinking out loud. While you are at it throw in a couple of driver options and changes in parts require on the schematics. I realize this is my wish list but maybe there are others who think this is good idea.
Follow Ups:
This is only IMHO.I think most DIYers (for tube power amp) would study the schematics in details before they want to proceed to the project. To demand money for schematics upfront may discourage his intention or interest. There are so many schematics in the internet so he may be put off.
The selling point is that the circuit that he believe will give him what he wants. And the attractive thing is that there are circuit boards or the complete kit around to help him to complete the project easily.
Alan.
