There is a variable resistor (trimpot) included in the kit. Use it to get the operating point that sounds the best, then power down, measure the resistance of the trimpot with an ohmmeter and sustitute the nearest fixed resistor value. I often just leave the trimpot in place and don't even worry about replacing it, but it's up to you. There are pads on the board for a fixed resistor.
