Return to K&K Audio / Lundahl Transformers
Hi Kevin and all readers,
There has been a power supply/power noise problem in my old house, it affects my phono from time to time. Friend of mine recently gave me a set of medical use isolation transformer. The output rating is 3.5 Amps/125 Vac. The household voltage in Canada is around 117 V, the measurement of the Iso. transformer stays very constant at 125 V +/- 0.1%, will my K&K phono agree with such rating in long run? Any ill effect to the tube and other components?
Thank you
walter

Hi Walter! My line voltage here runs about 123-124vAC and I've had no problems, so I expect that you are OK. Safety isn't an issue.

Hello Kevin,
thank you for your help.
The isolation transformer has cleaned up the sound. Much darker and quieter background. Initially impression is very positive.
