A c.1980 NOS Koetsu Black arrived today. Installed in a Morch UP4 and what a luscious sound! This is music to make the heart sing.
I was hoping to offer the Morch UP4 as the high end option to go with BIX. Rega RB250 will be base level. But the Morch is way up there with performance, very sure-footed and tracks warps with ease. Can be used with any cartridge and has both 9 and 12" arm wands. Unfortunately distributor agreements don't allow me to sell it outside HK and Morch doesn't do OEM. Well this is a small business...
Anyone know of a ~1K USD arm that's a killer in the value/performance dept?

Follow Ups:
You could look into some German arms, the Clearaudio Unify and the new Satisfy arm. SME has also a new arm on the market, seems to be a good arm for the asking price, I've seen it on the Musical Fidelity MF1 prototype turntable.
Thanks Saffier.
I'll check them out.

The Graham Robin might be something to have a look at.
Looks like all decks are coming with OEM rega`s these days.
Worth trying out something else I think...

Thanks for the suggestion. I would still keep the Rega as the basic arm since there is no other OEM arm that can be offered for that price.
