I wish more of these were around because they actually have form work as art and sound very good -- the X1 some find a little polite I suppose but really for the money I agree with you that it's tough to find a speaker that one can listen all day to without getting that ringing headache...the X1 and the Gap 828 and the Avante Gaurde are all very fine speakers..the Avante Gaurde I prefer to the Wilson Sophia -- they even look a bit aloke -- but given the 16k Cdn price of the sophia you wonder. (though I never did a side by side).Hopefully, as time goes on more dealers will replace Totem with Gershman --- Totem here seems to be moving down into the A&B sound stores leaving a Gap (for the Gap perhpas :) ) and we'll see them.
