I think that if you have $20,000.00 to spend any system you buy wont be low end.

The whole avoiding cluttering up the living room with sound equipment thing is a silly notion. There are plenty of great speakers that arent the size of fridge out there, look at Reaga, Linn , monitor audio, etc.

a $3000-$5000.00 Rotel or Arcam Receiver or Pre-pro is still entry level high end and thier 2 channel performance rivals that of a lot of dedicated 2 channel integrateds in the same price range.

What I have now I wouldn't call High end, but its definately not low-end or "low fi" I would say its lower mid-fi but not Higher mid fi or entry level high end. Which are one int he same IMO.

Low end to me is Bose period. Cheapo boomboxes, Ipod earbuds and thier docks mini systems HTIB's $25.00 dayton bookshelf speakers, cheapjack speakers that sell for under $100.00 at best buy. the stuff that makes my head hurt.
