Guys:After much experimentation in my main system yesterday, I've come to the following conclusion: Definitely use the Noise Harvesters judiciously. If you add too many, the sound flattens out and the background noise created by the inherent buzzing becomes audible, unless you're seated over 10' away. Initially, I plugged one into one of my dedicated outlets for one of monoblocks. The improvement was clearly audible: tighter focus, lower noise floor. Adding one for the other monoblock improved things in a similar vein. However, that's where the benefits ended. I added several more into my other outlets, including those in my line conditioner. The sound flattened considerably, and lost a lot of drive and momentum. It just wasn't as exciting to listen to. And the background noise created by all the buzzing started becoming apparent. I then systematically removed one Harvester at a time, listening for changes at each stage. The sound improved with each Harvester I removed, until I wound up where I started from: with one for each monoblock. I added a QuietLine on the other 4 dedicated lines, and that added just the right amount of additional noise reduction. I didn't plug any Harvesters or QLs into my line conditioner, as that led to that flattening I mentioned earlier. Anyway, my point here is to use the Harvesters judiciously. Don't assume that more is better, as that was clearly not the case for me. Good listening!
