Jeff told me that the C500 has the same modules as the 501s, two of course. I didn't ask about the 250. The infrastruture that Jeff puts around the ICEpower unit is at least or more important than the unit itself, which you'll find in lesser amplifiers.

Choosing between the 250 and the 500, I'd go for the 500 to get the Power Factor Correction modules. The price difference is way less than the value of those units. Besides smoothing the power demands on the AC mains, the PFC converts AC to 385V DC, leading to the quietest operation possible, among other things. Of course, getting it all in one box is nice.
