I haven't noticed the phasiness you found with the ES100's. Could be I'm just lucky with my configuration to date. (Was there any material this was prevalent on?)
I am sure the transparency of these speakers will have me re-evaluating everything (cabling, etc).
As you are already on the right side of the pond, I suggest you contact Audiography whom I purchased the demo's from when you have the interest.
