Spotmat - conclusions.

Posted by willbewill on January 1, 2002 at 08:50:51:

I have now been using my Spotmat (see link below) for a while on my LP12/RB250/AT 30E MC, alternating it with the Linn felt mat and Ringmat XLR. I believe it is easily as good as the Ringmat (and suffers less from static problems) and knocks the felt mat into a cocked hat. Compared to the felt it is far more detailed (felt sounds 'muddy'), has a substantially lower noise floor and sounds more powerful especially in the bass.
