McIntosh MC-60 Questions

Posted by Hewie on May 5, 2007 at 09:08:02:

I've been looking at a McIntosh MC-60 an acquaintance is selling. The chassis has a fair amount of pitting, one of the can caps is broken (it was soldered by a HACKER at some point), tubes are all missing, dent in OPT cover, and the input rca is broken. Two questions:
1) What might be a fair price for a unit like this?
2) Are there direct replacements for the above chassis can caps? How much and what dealers?

Thanks for the feedback. I haven't decided if I'm going to pick this up or pass on it.

I recently refurbed a Scott 299D, which I absolutely love, but am kinda lusting over some of the Mac equip I'm finding.
