I don't think welly is against scopes and measurements. He is not an elve. It is just that some folks, like Elliot and Self, are far more sceptical of results and trends that cannot be measured and tend to debunk everything that is not currently subject to measurement.

You can't exactly blame them with all the BS and hype going around.

I think everyone agrees on the importance of scopes ect around here. However, there is some disagreement as to how much of the sonics of audio is now understood in terms of clear measurements.
