DIYUMAS questions

Anybody posted pics of their DIYUMAS? Do you need concave surfaces on both sides of the bearing? I was thinking, the Silicone/sand mix might work really great inside the bottom of a can, with the bearings well lubed between the bottom of two cut off cans filled with silicone and sand. Also, if you make the can bottoms all the exact same height, and fill exactly to the top with silicone/sand, them cut off some of the can's height so the mix protrudes it wouldn't even scratch anything! Anybody whose worked with these, please post your best recipes. Thanks!
