All unamplified 300 ohm ribbon T shape antennas are about the same. Buy one for $3 on eBay. Some persons cannot install an outdoor antenna due to tennant restrictions in a city.

I prefer a rabbit ear antenna vs a ribbon antenna. Rabbit ear looks same as those old TV indoor antennas. Two benefits of the rabbit ear antenna is the antenna can be rotated and the angle of the two antenna shafts can be adjusted. This is quite effective to reduce multipath & to adjust for maximum signal strength. The better rabbit ear antennas have a selector switch that matches the antenna to the tuner for best signal strength. In the basement of my radio room I receive about 30 FM stations with 15 at full quieting in stereo. An outdoor antenna would likely increase reception to 40 stations with 30 in full quieting. But, I do not need more than the 15 stations I receive well.

I use a solid-state FM tuner that is more sensitive & selective than tube tuners. I highly recommend an outdoor antenna with a tube type tuner for superior sonics and quiet reception.
