So, IS the 4500 chip a drop-in for the 1800

Posted by Timbo in Oz on December 28, 2011 at 14:49:59:

OR would I need to by a new PCB etc?

What are the advantages of the 4500?

I have the UK (Wales?) made Studio12 kit in my 'tuner'.

Is the 1800 VERY noisy or is the noise up around 38Khz?

TIA
