Thanks for the advice, Mike. When the servos were rebuilt last year I had MS replace all the old compactron sockets with brand new ones and he also applied a tweak or two of his own to the sockets to help prevent arcing. Seems to have done the trick as I don't have arcing issues. The old sockets was a different story though. They were well worn and pins didn't fit tightly, corroded, etc. and arcing at times was an issue. I have the Monitor 4's, and the upgraded servos driving them is the closest thing to "being there" I've ever experienced. Amazing sound from them, simply amazing.
