The best option is the octal version of the EL509 which is made by JJ..The biggest problem with the servo amps is socket arcing which takes out tubes.You have the 5kv bias for the panels and the best fix is to remove the old compactron sockets and hardwire octal teflon sockets in by using a couple spacer supports for each socket.then run good wire form sockets to board connections and you will eliminate all your troubles...Those sockets cannot take that 5kv bias on them and thats why teflon octals are a good choice.
I only have a pair of Acoustat 3s but I have the new Martin Logan CLXs and an old pair of monoliths.
