noisy speakers a result of dirt and old tubes?

Hi all, I have a little Antique Sound Labs 1003-dt that I've used for years. It's never really given me trouble but lately one or both speakers will start with soft white noise and get louder and louder. And it's not consistent white noise, it comes and goes really quickly. Also the bias for one of the tubes (which varies) always starts off very low while all the others are normal. If I wiggle the tubes around a little I can usually get it balanced and the noise to go away, but it slowly comes back.
Does anyone have a suggestion for what to do here? I figure at the very least I need to do a thorough cleaning, I haven't cleaned the unit in years. What would be the best product and where should I start?
Thanks for any info.
