Value of #2 Marantz 7B preamp, tuner & amp

Hi Guys,
I would like your opinion on the value of an original Marantz Tuner Amp and Preamp which I belive is the 7 and 8 series. It belongs to an elderly friend of my father's who was a personal friend of Saul Marantz and the gentlemen says its serial number is 0002! The set is in mint condition and is used regularly. The gentlemen is in his 80's or 90's and his grandson seems oblivious to the potential value of the system. I am afraid that it will be sold for pennies at a garage sale in a few years and would like to apprise the grandson of its value.
