300B PP or SE, serious DIY project

Posted by Eric Chan on September 9, 2012 at 07:02:17:

Folk,

I have tried several DHT bottle,300B, 211, 845. Evetually I feel 300B SE really possess the vivid midrange that no other can match. The vocal is just so real.

I am deploying my next DIY project in which the work may last half a year continuously. Now I have make sure this Mono DIY amp can be loud enough, good dynamic (of course palpable vivid midrange is a must)in my 200 sq foot living room. My speakers are TAD TSM300 and JBL Studio 590

Would you consider(A)SE 3x300B each channel by producing around 27W or PP 4x300B Per channel.

For sure the OPT size for 3x300B SE is much bigger than the 4x300B PP Opt.

Pleae share your experience in listening SE 300B and PP300B.

Regards,

Eric
