JVC DD-VR 77 ?

I just picked up the other day at a garge sale a JVC DD-VR 77cassette deck in very good shape! I have not hooked it up to a receiver,but I did try a cassette in it before I purchased it for the mere sum of $6.00!Has anyone here ever used one of these?Has anyone ever heard one of these as well?If so what are your thoughts about it.I do not feel like I got ripped off!Brian
