Plessey C12P speaker ... any good for guitar amps?

Posted by Johnno on October 15, 2001 at 20:52:14:

Can anyone advise me whether the Plessey C12P ceramic magnet 12" speaker would be suitable for guitar amps? What is the nominal power rating? Response? Sensitivity? etc. This is a speaker that sold some 20-years ago and I often see them used in large PA boxes. They can be sourced at very low prices these days and seem to have decent size magnets. Cones are pressed paper with a doped surround and they look very much like classic guitar speakers ... so I wonder if they'll do the job. Any help would be much appreciated.
