The Oskar Kithara and the Heil Tweeter...............

Posted by Vinylly on August 11, 2000 at 07:16:58:

After reading the review of the Oskar Kithara speakers in the latest issue of UHF, I was ready to dash down to one of my local Hi-Fi shops to audition a pair. Problem is, I don't know of any dealers in the US that are importing them. Apparently they are coming into Canada, as The Audio Room in Calgary is advertising them (it's about a two day drive to Calgary where I live). I'm also wondering why, when UHF has given them such rave reviews, no other magazine has mentioned them, let alone a review, -LISTENER, are you listening?
I remember TAS reviews of the Heil tweeter back in the '70's, which were very good, and it's great that the Heil technology has been revived. Also, with 94 dB efficiency rating, these speaker should be great with low powered SET's, -300B's or 2A3's.
Has anyone auditioned these speakers and can varify the raves from UHF. At $3740.00 US, these speaker have got to be the steal of a lifetime.
