the story goes...

"According to A Saucerful of Secrets: The Pink Floyd Odyssey, by Nicholas Schaffner, Emily is the Honourable Emily Young (born 13 March 1951), daughter of Wayland Hilton Young, 2nd Baron Kennet, and nicknamed "the psychedelic schoolgirl" at the UFO Club."

I seem to remember this story and think it might actually be true.

The first time I saw PF, was 1967 at the Fishmongers Arm, Wood Green (I could be wrong). I went on the bus and met this couple who asked where the venue was. It turned out the guy was playing support. They had a small pig on a leash on the bus. I got the guest list for knowing where the place was.
It was the back room of an English pub.
Small... a couple of hundred people and a low stage... the height of a step.
To this day I swear they played Chuck Berry for an encore.
