Yes indeed, a slightly higher level might sound worse, but it still can make an audible difference. Therefore, it should still be done as part of the protocol for a DBT.

Now, I'm sure you're going to say you didn't say the level matching wasn't needed, but one of your habits is to insert an irrelevant point into a discussion.
