1.5 vs 2.5

Iâ€™ve got a quick question concerning maggies. Iâ€™ve currently got a set of 1.5â€™s and Iâ€™m thinking about purchasing a set of 2.5s. Is this a worthwhile investment? I canâ€™t find any reviews comparing the older maggies. Iâ€™m currently using an older Sony 1000esd preamp and have them bi-amped with adcom amps. Iâ€™m either looking at upgrading the preamp or the speakers, and I donâ€™t know where to put the money. Any advise would be appreciated.
