Sixteen going on seventeen is a dangerous age to be behind the wheel as there's just not all that much experience to fall back on. But I'm glad you're OK and sorry about your vehicle.

So what's happening around here this weekend? My wife and I went out to dinner last night at a fancy restaurant. Had wine and great food and just visited together. We try to do that every once in awhile - concentrate on ourselves rather than chores, work, sons and daughters, etc. We had a great time.

Went into our garage this morning and found that her car had been keyed. Huge scratch all along the driver's side. Must have happened at the restaurant parking lot last night. So it was an even more expensive meal that we originally thought. The most disconcerting part is that we don't know if the car was singled out on purpose or if it was just some random person taking it out on a BMW. My wife on occasion drives like "the BMW driver everyone hates", and she has personalized plates, so it's not inconceivable someone singled out the car. Hopefully not though.

Then I'm leaving tomorrow morning for a week or more away. I'm heading up to northern California to take care of my Mom who's just undergone hip replacement surgery. I'm not looking forward to the trip, other than of course I want to be there to help my parents, but it won't be a fun trip. Plus now there's my wife at home alone and things are variously falling apart here with the car and a number of other things. Man, if there could be two of me this coming week, that would help a lot.

Hey! Thanks for starting this "Pitty Party" thread. Anyone else want to share?
