Just for starters--- you will double your insertion losses. If you read through the archives you will find many posts and much more detail on "creative tapsmanship" and the pitfalls of such a practice.

You have a nice pair of transformers--- keep them that way--- use them as they were designed. If you don't have a use for them--- best to sell them and convert the proceeds into a transformer which is purposely designed for the application which you are undertaking.

Logically--- if transformers were inherently amenable to "ratio'ing tricks" then how many transformers would each maker have in their catalog?
