Building bass enclosures for wood horn

Posted by Doug Kim on April 7, 2008 at 13:33:51:

Hi all

I have a pair of Fostex H420 wood horns and JBL 2420 drivers. I purchased them several years ago with the plan of building multi-amping high-eff horn system, but I've been quite busy on works and lazy on hobbies.

Now I want to restart this project. Since I'm a novice having no idea where to start, I wish I could get some help.

My goal is to build 2 way system (or 3 way if I add super tweeters), first I will start from Fostex recommended passive network. One 15" woofer per enclosure and frequency range down to 35 or 40 Hz. Probably I'll purchase Fostex FW405N woofers.

Is there any good source for bass enclosure designs?

And does anyone know a good woodworker in Maryland who can build bass enclosures?

Thanks

Doug
