I was purchasing a new, in box, pair of Miller and Kreisel S100B surround speakers. These were to match another pair of recently purchased S100B's to be used as rear surrounds, and left and right "wides". I had also secured a pair of Miller and Kreisel S85 monitors (to be used for the "Height" speakers).
The issue, particularly with the S100B's, is that these are 15-18 year old speakers and are not only very difficult to find available for sale, but the vast majority have had a hard life and show it in both looks and performance. Locating them in very good condition, working perfectly, and not having had music blasting through them for a decade and a half or two is next to impossible.
