Thanks for the information - this was very helpful. I didn't realize the transformers would not change frequency so the turntable is in big trouble. It is 60hz 120v in Canada but HK is 220v and 50hz.

The frequency converters are much too costly and VPI gets somewhat mixed reviews from what I have read - the SDS is liked but it too retails for $1200. I could probably sell the TT2 and buy a second hand one in HK for roughly the same difference.
