Couldn't agree with you more. I had locking RCAs on all my Acoustic Zen Silver Ref. ICs and they were a constant pain in the butt to unlock. They created a danger of damaging the inputs whenever they were removed.
Great cables but I hated the locks.
Glad to be rid of them.
