I came to audition some speakers with a stack of my own cds, the dealer set them up with the amp/source most similair to my own and left me alone for over an hour. After that he was more than willing to chat and give advice, even recommended products that he didn't carry! Also said "if you liked those (Spendor) you're gonna love these" and hooked up some $10k speakers. He knew there was absolutely no chance of selling them, this was 5 tmes my budget, but spent another half hour playing music, shooting the bull about gear and music.
Didn't end up buying there (found speakers I like better, that worked better in my room, at The Analog Room (also discussed in this thread), but I'll be back to audiotion their equipment every time I'm ready for a purchase.
