New shopping center = 123V at the panel!

Posted by Char on October 3, 2002 at 23:06:26:

Recently a shopping center sprang up about a mile away from my house. Previous to this developement, the electric service was always horrible and at best averaged around 113-114 volts daily. Rarely did I see a static 120 Volts and many times it measured a mere 110V. I have been monitoring at the end of the longest branch and it only deviates .2V from the panel, which maintains a strong 123 volts now. The utility was forced to upgrade the service and its about time.
I finally can appreciate the rewire job done to my house earlier this year and now feel it was worth it. Also sure the electronics like it too.
