The user must find the appropriate group/tracks. What the player does is provide a whole bunch of indicators that show which group you're in, and whether the material in that group is quad-rate (176/192), double rate (88.2/96), "regular" rate (44.1/48), or DTS/Dolby Digital, and whether there is video content.
If you have some idea of what is supposed to be on the disc, it's (usually) pretty straightforward to find things. If you know where things are, it's easy to go straight to them.
