I'd recommend the M-Audio Audiophile. I use it for home multitrack recording and restoration. It's a GREAT sounding card. You can also find it several places (Musician's Friend) for around $150.00. In addition to awesome sound, M-Audio also provides good driver/product support.
Stay away from anything with the 'Creative' name and anything (even M-Audio) that is USB.
