I did do the same thing before
The MP3 recorded songs are flat..very flat...no 3 dimensionality.
Even properly compress as MP3 at 192Kps variable bit.
Really there is no competition....and i am only toking abt normal "not so well recorded" CDs.
If we comparing comparing XRCD from JVC..its like comparing a Radioshack portable FM receiver to a Theta jade with Pro gen Va DAC..
hmm ...Am i exaggerating?
