Winnipeg CBC dumps entire music library totalling 26,000 CDs

Posted by mr.bear on June 21, 2012 at 09:13:29:

Along with 16,000 vinyl records! Scored by some local record store- boggles the mind.

Get ready for the big, years-long CD sell-a-thon. When one of the major labels announces this year or next that they’re no longer stamping CDs but are moving to a 100% online distribution model, there’ll be a time of consternation until the ‘music business’ decides what and they’re going to market and sell music. That will be followed by people dumping the entire CD libraries because they’ve been told they have to have the “new” medium. I’m shopping for a really GREAT vintage CD player now.
