I have listened to the EE CDP in my system , the only thing holding me back is that I had an Arcam 9 A-B with the EE and the Arcam had better dynamics and separation of instruments. The EE did better with female singers and maybe just a tad smoother with electric guitar. The Arcam has a more pronounced lower midrange which sounds better with male vocalist and the electric guitar is more pronounced. The Arcam was better in bass too.
