They should be separated as far from each other as possible, and only cross where necessary at right angles. Power cords are less important here, just keep them away from the speaker and interconnect cables. A neat, well spaced layout can make a big difference. You don't want to coil extra length of speaker cable, better to run it in big loops or trim it down.
